Affiliate disclosure
How this site earns money, where the notice appears, and the rules that keep monetization from ever touching the verdicts.
The short version
We earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Scores and verdicts are set before any link is placed and never change after.
The notice appears adjacent to the first buy button on every monetized page, in the footer of every page, and here in full. It is written to be understood before you click, not after.
How we make money
This site earns commissions from the Amazon Associates program. When you click a product link and buy within Amazon's cookie window, Amazon pays us a percentage. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay walking into Amazon directly: the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your total.
That is the entire revenue model. No display ads, no sponsored posts, no paid placements, no newsletter sales, no data sales. Every surface of the site renders from the same rule: if it does not serve the reader's decision, it does not ship.
The pricing statement
Every product price on this site is the exact dollar amount our bench verified against the live Amazon listing during research, and the surfaces label it "Price fact-checked". Prices change; the live listing always carries today's number, the Details link beside every price lands here, and the number you pay is always the one Amazon shows at checkout.
The customer-rating strips come from the same research records as every spec row: captured at verification, re-checked at each re-verification, and never presented as a live feed. The stars are the owners' verdict at the time of research; the live listing carries today's numbers.
When a page shows a live price, it is refreshed at least hourly and it falls back to the fact-checked price whenever the data is not fresh. Per Amazon's required disclosure: Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on the relevant Amazon Site(s), as applicable at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.
Certain content that appears on this site comes from Amazon. This content is provided "as is" and is subject to change or removal at any time.
Link semantics
Every affiliate link is built by one URL constructor, points directly at the product listing, and carries rel nofollow sponsored. There is no link cloaking, no redirect layer, and no tracking beyond the standard Associates tag. The tag lives in one configuration record, so it can be audited, swapped, or retired in a single edit.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
Why commissions never move scores
Scores and verdicts are set before links are placed, from a fixed rubric over verified source records. The rejected products on every roundup carry no link at all, which is the structural proof: on every rejected model we decline the exact commission the placement would have earned.
If evidence changes, the score changes, the correction is recorded in the page's machine-readable record, and the links follow the verdict rather than the reverse. That order of operations is the whole trust model, and it is enforced by the site's architecture, not just its promises.
